We are hiring a dependable Warehouse Worker to join our operations in New York City, New York. This position is fundamental to the successful day-to-day functioning of our warehouse and logistics center. You will be involved in a variety of essential tasks, including receiving and inspecting incoming goods, stocking inventory, picking and packing orders, and preparing items for shipment. Operating basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks will be part of your responsibilities. Ensuring a safe and clean work environment is a top priority; you must strictly follow all safety procedures and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform frequent lifting and movement of materials. We provide comprehensive training on efficient work methods and safe lifting techniques. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to begin a career in the warehousing and logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory.
- Stock shelves and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
- Prepare items for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
- Operate manual material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and logistics support as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Understanding of and commitment to workplace safety, including use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory principles is helpful.
