Join our expanding logistics team in Richmond, Virginia, as an Order Picker! We are searching for enthusiastic and diligent individuals to accurately and swiftly pick customer orders from our extensive warehouse inventory. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring that products are ready for shipment and meet our high standards. Your primary duties will include locating items on shelves using order sheets or scanning technology, verifying product codes and quantities, and carefully handling merchandise. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the physical capability to perform tasks such as bending, stooping, reaching, and Lifting up to 50 lbs consistently. You will be expected to maintain productivity targets while ensuring the accuracy of every order picked. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is paramount, and adherence to all company safety policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. - Accurately select items from warehouse stock according to customer orders.
- Use scanning equipment or pick lists to identify and retrieve products.
- Confirm product identification and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages promptly.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Perform physical requirements of the job, including walking, bending, reaching, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Keep your assigned work area tidy and organized.
- Strive to meet and exceed performance metrics for picking speed and accuracy.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse setting is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.
- Commitment to following safety rules and wearing required PPE.
