Portland, Oregon is seeking a skilled Inventory Control Specialist! We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our logistics team and ensure the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This role is critical for optimizing stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our supply chain operations. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to implement best practices in inventory management. - Perform regular cycle counts and participate in full physical inventory counts.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Maintain precise inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor inventory accuracy and identify trends or potential issues.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to prevent loss or damage.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes to ensure correct data entry.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure proper product storage and rotation.
- Contribute to process improvements aimed at increasing inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Prepare inventory reports for management review.
Prior experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role within a logistics environment. Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory tracking software. Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds, and work effectively in a warehouse setting. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Must be self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
