Atlanta, Georgia is calling! We have an immediate opening for a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our fast-paced logistics team. In this crucial role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all inventory is accurately recorded, inspected, and staged for further processing. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are vital to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and the efficiency of our warehouse operations. The proper use of PPE is a requirement for this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive all incoming shipments, verifying quantities and checking for damage.
- Scan or manually record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Prepare receiving reports and reconcile discrepancies.
- Organize and stage received products for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is preferred. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software. Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. A strong commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE is essential.
