Our rapidly growing company in Washington, D.C. is looking for a dedicated Fulfillment Associate to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for picking, packing, and preparing a variety of products for shipment, as well as assisting with inventory management and warehouse organization. A strong commitment to workplace safety is critical; adherence to all safety guidelines and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. This position involves considerable physical activity, including frequent lifting and standing, and requires a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specifications.
- Scan items using RF scanners to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Inspect products for quality and damage before packing.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling and documentation.
- Receive and organize incoming inventory, ensuring proper storage.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Perform tasks involving lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counting.
- Support the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily fulfillment targets.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or similar logistics role is preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift repeatedly. Must be comfortable with manual tasks and lifting requirements. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
