We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our growing team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include unloading deliveries, verifying contents against orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately documenting all received items into our system. A sharp eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting the seamless flow of materials through our warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload shipments from various carriers.
- Verify quantities and descriptions of goods received against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for damage or discrepancies and report any issues promptly.
- Enter receiving data accurately into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Stage products for internal distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and demonstrate proper use of required PPE.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any receiving-related issues.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory management principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to workplace regulations.
