Our Cincinnati, Ohio facility is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our vital logistics team. This role is central to ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport, load, and unload materials. You will also assist with inventory management, stock put-away, and ensuring materials are organized and accessible. A strong focus on safety is paramount; you must be proficient in using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety guidelines. This position requires the ability to perform consistent lifting and manage physically demanding tasks. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock placement, and organization.
- Ensure materials are handled and stored properly to prevent damage.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is essential.
- Certification for specific equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
- Knowledge of basic logistics and material flow principles.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
