We are looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse operations in Kansas City, Missouri. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient flow of materials within our logistics center. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent spatial awareness, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be involved in both loading and unloading trucks, as well as internal movement of goods. Maintaining equipment and adhering to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is a key aspect of this job. The ability to handle various types of loads and navigate the warehouse safely is essential. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading freight from trucks and trailers.
- Moving pallets of goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Assisting with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Performing daily inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Adhering strictly to all safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
- Ensuring that all lifting and moving tasks are completed according to established safety standards.
- Collaborating with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Performing other warehouse duties as assigned.
