We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the facility, including loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and transporting goods. This position is vital to our logistics operations, requiring precision and a strong commitment to safety. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Safely transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies regarding forklift operation and warehouse safety.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring aisles and loading docks are clear.
- Assist with receiving and shipping operations as needed.
- Properly use all required PPE, including hard hats and safety shoes.
- Participate in inventory management tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Minimum of 1 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to wear required PPE consistently.
- Dependable and able to work flexible hours if needed.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
