Job Summary:
We are hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate for our facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. This crucial role involves managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and safety in all operations. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for unloading deliveries, verifying contents, stocking inventory, processing outgoing shipments, and maintaining a well-organized shipping and receiving area. If you have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety within a logistics environment, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming trucks and containers, inspecting for damages and verifying quantities against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Receive, label, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations accurately.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and staging orders efficiently.
  • Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate with carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area, free from hazards.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
  • Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar warehouse/logistics role.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer applications.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
