Join our dynamic logistics team in Fort Worth, Texas, as a Material Handler! We are searching for a dedicated individual responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials within our distribution center. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, proficiency with material handling equipment, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move, sort, and place materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse, such as storage, production, and shipping.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Follow established procedures for safe Lifting and handling of goods.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counting and stock verification.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging and labeling.
- Wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other relevant machinery.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and a meticulous approach to tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with logistics procedures is a plus.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
