We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our operations in Miami, Florida. This position is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring that our logistics and supply chain functions operate smoothly and efficiently. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices in inventory control. Your commitment to Accuracy and Safety will be instrumental in upholding our operational standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Identify root causes of inventory errors and recommend corrective actions.
- Train warehouse staff on proper inventory handling and storage procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in the logistics flow.
- Support receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping operations from an inventory perspective.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including occasional Lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of general logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and best practices.
