Our dynamic logistics facility in San Antonio, Texas, is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. This role is critical for our supply chain operations, ensuring that goods are handled properly from receiving to shipping. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of safe operation, a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be operating various types of forklifts and may be involved in loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and moving pallets. A commitment to accuracy and teamwork is essential. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all operators must adhere to strict safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times. Prior forklift certification is required. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear required PPE, including safety glasses and hard hats.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Meet productivity targets while maintaining a high level of safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Previous experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Thorough knowledge of forklift operating procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control principles.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
