Job Summary:
We are hiring a dedicated Receiving Clerk for our busy distribution center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing all inbound shipments. This position is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that inventory is accurately recorded and available for distribution. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess a sharp eye for detail, and have a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. Key Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming freight from trucks using appropriate equipment.
  • Inspect received goods for damage, verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
  • Label and stage received goods for put-away.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Must be able to handle substantial lifting of packages and materials.
  • Ensuring adherence to all PPE requirements.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role or inventory control is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 60 pounds.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to consistently wear and maintain required PPE.
