In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all outgoing shipments. You will coordinate with various carriers, prepare shipping documentation, and ensure that all packages are labeled correctly. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify shipping information for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled and packaged for transit.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipping status.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Must be able to assist with light lifting of packages as needed.
- Ensure proper use of PPE when handling shipments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and workflow.
