Job Summary:
Our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory through meticulous tracking, auditing, and analysis. You will be responsible for developing and implementing inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and recommending solutions to improve inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining optimal stock levels for our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Manage inventory adjustments and maintain accurate records in the WMS.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status, including aging stock and potential shortages.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in receiving and put-away processes as needed, including heavy Lifting.
  • Optimize warehouse layout for efficient inventory storage and retrieval.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Experience with material handling equipment and knowledge of Logistics best practices.
  • Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving occasional heavy Lifting.
