Seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our thriving logistics operation in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of materials and products within our warehouse. You will operate a variety of equipment, ensuring that inventory flows smoothly through our supply chain. A strong commitment to safety is paramount; all employees are required to adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We are looking for dependable individuals with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks safely and productively.
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments.
- Stage outgoing shipments for delivery.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production, or shipping platforms.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock checks.
- Perform daily inspections of equipment and report any needed repairs.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all materials to prevent damage.
- Comply with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations, including mandatory PPE use.
- Contribute to a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift operator certification preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 60 lbs consistently.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
