This role is critical for the smooth operation of our facility, involving the movement and organization of materials and products. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment to ensure inventory is safely and efficiently transferred within the warehouse. A strong focus on safety is paramount; adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to production or shipping areas.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory in designated locations.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts.
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Strictly follow all safety procedures and utilize required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts or other heavy warehouse equipment required.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent spatial awareness and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
