This role is crucial for ensuring our products reach customers efficiently and in perfect condition. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, verifying shipment contents, and maintaining accurate shipping records. A strong understanding of logistics and a commitment to quality are essential. You'll play a vital part in our supply chain, working in a fast-paced environment that requires accuracy and organization. This position involves physical tasks, including Lifting and moving packages, and requires adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing slips.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Package and label items for shipment according to company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
- Operate shipping equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, if certified.
- Communicate with warehouse staff and customer service regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE and safe Lifting techniques.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or a related warehouse role preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and procedures.
- Knowledge of logistics and transportation principles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve frequent Lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Understanding of safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Good communication skills.
