Your primary duties will involve operating a reach truck to put away and retrieve inventory at various heights, ensuring accuracy and orderliness within our storage areas. The ideal candidate will possess a valid reach truck certification, a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Put away and retrieve inventory from racking systems at various heights.
- Inspect reach truck daily for safety and operational issues, reporting any defects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and warehouse aisles.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Load and unload materials from trucks as needed.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet operational goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned when not operating the reach truck.
- Valid Reach Truck Operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing, bending, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Willingness to wear required PPE at all times.
