We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Dallas, Texas. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, performing physical inventories, analyzing inventory levels, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stock variances. You will work closely with the warehouse and operations teams to improve inventory processes and ensure optimal stock availability. A strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse logistics is essential. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to uphold and promote safe work practices, including ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). - Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure accuracy in the WMS.
- Collaborate with operations teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Prepare inventory reports for management.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field a plus.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform occasional light to moderate lifting (up to 30 pounds).
- Commitment to workplace safety and correct PPE usage.
