Job Summary:
Our dynamic logistics company in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring the smooth movement and organization of goods. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, receiving and stocking inventory, and preparing items for shipment. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials accurately.
  • Transport materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to specifications.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
  • Adhere to all established safety regulations and company policies.
  • Utilize required PPE diligently during all operational tasks.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and team members to meet production and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler, Forklift Operator, or similar role.
  • Valid forklift certification is required.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
  • Excellent safety record and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Proficiency with various material handling equipment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
