Seeking an efficient Picker/Packer to join our logistics team in Dallas, Texas! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting products from inventory and preparing them for shipment. Your duties will include reading order forms, locating items in the warehouse, ensuring correct quantities, and then carefully packing them for transit. Attention to detail and speed are essential to meet customer demands and maintain our high standards of service. You will play a vital part in our fulfillment process, ensuring that orders are processed correctly and dispatched on time. We emphasize a strong safety culture, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. This role involves a good amount of physical activity, including lifting and moving items. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items according to customer orders.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently using appropriate materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Verify picked items against order details.
- Operate RF scanners and other warehouse technology.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station and work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and use required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual.
