We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our Durham, North Carolina facility. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain. You will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and updating inventory systems. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are paramount. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using inventory management software and possess a solid understanding of warehouse procedures. Safety is our top priority, so adherence to all safety guidelines and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting of items up to 30 pounds. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize stockouts or overstock situations. Experience with data entry and a keen eye for detail will be essential. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Receive, inspect, and properly record incoming inventory.
- Tag and label inventory items for identification and tracking.
- Generate inventory reports for management review.
- Assist in the organization and arrangement of warehouse stock.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Support shipping and receiving departments with inventory-related tasks.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards or equipment issues.
