In this vital role, you will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of all warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, automated systems, and other essential machinery. Your expertise will ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. You will work closely with the warehouse operations team to identify potential issues, perform preventative maintenance, and respond quickly to breakdowns. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on all warehouse equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on machinery.
- Install and commission new equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Operate a forklift or other equipment to access machinery for repairs, using appropriate PPE.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with the warehouse management team to schedule preventative maintenance.
- Order and manage spare parts inventory.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in equipment reliability and Safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Technical degree or certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and best practices for industrial equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 60 pounds and working in various positions.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
