We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Huntsville, Alabama. This critical role oversees the day-to-day operations of our distribution center, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety in all logistics activities. You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating workflows, optimizing inventory management, and implementing best practices in material handling. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Coordinate receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Ensure efficient order picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock rotation.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations and company policies, including proper PPE usage and safe lifting procedures.
- Train and develop warehouse associates.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure operational readiness.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics.
- Address operational issues and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to employee safety and development.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
