We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Oklahoma City. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring smooth operations and minimizing discrepancies. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating variances, and implementing corrective actions to uphold our high standards of inventory management.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Coordinate with other departments, such as receiving, shipping, and production, to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Assist in the training of new team members on inventory control processes.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to ensure product freshness and minimize obsolescence.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report on inventory levels, accuracy rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the logistics department.
- Must be comfortable with moderate to heavy Lifting throughout the day.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace Safety.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics field.
- Proficiency in using WMS software and other inventory management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring frequent movement and Lifting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
