What You Will Do
You'll be the expert responsible for the entire lifecycle of our networked systems; from planning and designing to implementing new solutions.
In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of network operations, troubleshooting and maintaining both our internal and vendor network connections. This includes configuring routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points, as well as coordinating with vendors to install essential circuits like DIA and MPLS. You'll also take on key responsibilities like project planning, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons.
Operational support and incident resolution. Work with a team to design, implement and support Trimble's network infrastructure at its datacenters and global sites Architect / design LAN/WAN solutions for a designated geographic region. Develop and maintain standard configurations, procedures and guidelines for installing and operating voice & data services Participate in capacity planning and technology reviews with the Network Infrastructure team Maintain the network infrastructure to high levels of availability with basic and expedited support to resolve networking related issues Interface with ISP and carriers to install/commission/test new WAN/Internet circuits at remote sites, as well as interface with vendors to identify hardware & software requirements to meet business requirements Design, manage and maintain wireless networks What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
BS or BA degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent education, training or work experience. Proven competence in the development, implementation and maintenance of complex network systems with 5 to 7 years' experience in a networking enterprise environment. Experience with global enterprise networks is preferred. Cisco certifications-CCNP or CCIE. CCIE is preferred. Network Expertise: You'll need hands-on experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, and VPN solutions, including strong knowledge of protocols like BGP and OSPF. Essential Skills: You should have proven experience with Cisco and Arista switches and routers, as well as wireless network administration. Expertise in network monitoring (e.g., SolarWinds) and troubleshooting with tools like Wireshark is required. 1+ years of experience in Network automation using Python / Go Programming, Infrastructure as code, Ansible implement and support cloud infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure Occasional on-call duties Occasional travel About Your Location

Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to be member of Trimble's global, corporate networking team. Responsible for assisting with network design, implementation and operation of the company's internal world-wide communications systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) and voice networks.
Act as network lead for their designated geographical region which includes: planning, designing, and implementing networked systems. The candidate will be involved in troubleshooting and maintaining both in-house and vendor networks connections including configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems, and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as direct internet access (DIA) circuits, MPLS circuits as well as configuring routers, switches, wireless access points and other devices or technologies as required. Provides training and assists with proposal writing. Responsible for project planning, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons.

Proven competence in the development, implementation and maintenance of complex network systems with 5 to 7 years' experience in a networking enterprise environment. Experience with global enterprise networks is preferred. Cisco certifications:
CCNA - Routing and Switching or CCNA - Security CCNP or CCIE Routing and Switching greatly preferred Other industry certifications / training is greatly desired (examples, CEH, CISSP, MCP, etc)
Experience with several of the following technologies in design/implement/troubleshooting capacity is essential:
LAN: Switching - Cisco IOS/Nexus OS, Arista EOS, VLANs, STP/RSTP, CoS, QoS, Ether-channel/Trunking,etc
Experience with Cisco routers and switches , Arista switches are required, experience with Dell and HP switches desired.
Routing: BGP, EIGRP, HSRP or VRRP, PBR, etc. WAN: MPLS, MetroEthernet, etc. VPN Solutions: site-to-site IPsec VPN and Client access VPN Network Management and WAN Optimization: Load balancing/Acceleration experience desired. Working knowledge of Silver Peak SD-WAN highly solutions desired Wireless 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, etc. and other new/emerging standards
Expertise in Wireless network design and administration required, experience with Extreme Wireless network solutions is greatly desired
Authentication solutions including Cisco ACS/RADIUS/TACACS /Certificates(PKI) greatly desired Network troubleshooting using packet capture and analysis using tools such as Wireshark Administration experience with SolarWinds monitoring solutions is greatly preferred. Experience with a CAPWAP based wireless management system is required. Experience with Extreme Wireless systems is preferred.
Proven experience in setting up new site networks, including racking, installing, configuring LAN/WAN/VoIP hardware/circuits, testing/troubleshooting network connectivity/performance and documentation Experience with SolarWinds monitoring/management products or other monitoring systems greatly desired. Network security experience desired.
