We are seeking dedicated and versatile individuals to join our team as Distribution Center Associates in Detroit, Michigan. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our warehouse, encompassing a variety of tasks essential to the movement and management of goods. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be involved in receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping processes. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory for damage and accuracy.
- Stock shelves and maintain an organized warehouse layout.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Operate material handling equipment as required (training provided).
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory management.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the distribution center.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and wear required PPE at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Perform duties involving significant lifting and physical exertion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and reach.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 70 pounds, with proper technique.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety procedures.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
