We are hiring a dynamic Picker/Packer to join our busy warehouse facility in Tampa, Florida! In this role, you will be at the heart of our order fulfillment process, responsible for accurately selecting items from our inventory and preparing them for shipment to our valued customers. Your efficiency and precision will directly impact customer satisfaction. You will use various tools, including scanning devices and picking carts, to navigate the warehouse and retrieve products according to customer orders. This position requires a combination of speed, accuracy, and physical dexterity. You will be expected to carefully handle items to prevent damage, package them securely, and label them correctly for transit. Safety is a paramount concern in our operations; therefore, strict adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is non-negotiable. This role involves significant walking, standing, bending, and lifting of items, often weighing up to 50 lbs. A good understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management principles will be beneficial. You will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated individuals to meet daily shipping targets. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong work ethic. Prior experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is a significant plus. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Use scanning equipment to verify picked items and update inventory.
- Inspect picked items for any defects or damages before packing.
- Package products securely and efficiently, ensuring they are ready for shipment.
- Apply correct shipping labels and documentation to packages.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station and work area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and guidelines.
- Properly use required PPE at all times.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics and fulfillment process.
- Lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Proficiency in lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
