Join our busy shipping and receiving department in Chicago, Illinois, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate! This role is critical for maintaining the efficient flow of goods into and out of our facility. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining inventory integrity. Key duties include unloading trucks, verifying shipment contents against documentation, inspecting for damages, and properly stocking received goods. On the outbound side, you will prepare orders for shipment, which involves picking, packing, staging, and loading onto delivery vehicles. Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential to prevent errors and ensure customer satisfaction. We maintain a strong focus on Safety in all our operations, and compliance with all Safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. This position requires physical endurance, with frequent Lifting of packages and materials up to 50 lbs, as well as extended periods of standing, walking, and bending. Experience with forklifts and other material handling equipment is advantageous. Understanding the principles of logistics is crucial for success in this role.
