We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our busy facility in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through diligent tracking, auditing, and reconciliation processes. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing strategies to reduce shrinkage. This position is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that we have the right products, in the right quantities, at the right time. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential. You will work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth inventory flow. Compliance with safety standards, including the use of appropriate PPE, is a key expectation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between inventory records and physical stock.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points, recommending adjustments as needed.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse and ensure proper documentation.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to improve inventory accuracy and handling.
- Assist in the implementation of inventory management software updates or changes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and logistics.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols, including PPE usage.
