We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our logistics team in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately locating and picking specified items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or handheld scanners. You will then prepare these items for the next stage of the shipping process, ensuring they are correctly identified and staged. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment is crucial; you must adhere to all company safety regulations and utilize all provided personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting and movement of products. We provide training on efficient picking methods and safe lifting techniques to minimize the risk of injury. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our warehouse and gain valuable experience in logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders based on provided lists or scanning devices.
- Identify and locate products within the warehouse efficiently.
- Prepare picked items for packing and shipping.
- Stage orders in designated areas for processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capable of regular lifting of up to 35 lbs.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of inventory and logistics principles.
