Our Nashville, Tennessee facility is looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of goods. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for coordinating and processing all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with shipping regulations. You'll work closely with carriers, verify shipping documents, and prepare merchandise for transit. This role is central to our Logistics operations and requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and using the required PPE .
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and track all outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipping information against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Inspect outgoing merchandise for damage before shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation and Safety regulations.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Must be comfortable with tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including occasional Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
The ideal candidate has experience in shipping procedures and knowledge of carrier systems. A commitment to accuracy and workplace Safety is paramount.
