Key tasks involve selecting appropriate packaging materials, accurately labeling shipments, and staging outgoing orders for pickup. You will also collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless processing. The role requires the ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting, up to 50 lbs, and strict adherence to all safety regulations, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). - Generate and process all required shipping documents.
- Liaise with shipping companies to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Conduct thorough checks of outgoing orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Apply shipping labels correctly and ensure proper postage.
- Organize and maintain shipping logs and records.
- Confirm adherence to all shipping regulations and carrier specifications.
- Communicate shipment status updates to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Strictly follow all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Undertake manual tasks including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role is highly valued.
- Familiarity with shipping software and general computer applications.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- A keen eye for detail is essential.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and perform manual dexterity tasks.
- Must be willing to wear required PPE and adhere to all safety directives.
