Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Madison, Wisconsin? We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will operate various types of forklifts to manage the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our facility. - Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks on forklift equipment to ensure optimal safety and functionality.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of all goods.
- Assist with inventory management functions, including put-away, retrieval, and cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Strictly adhere to all warehouse safety rules, procedures, and the proper use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational targets and deadlines.
Minimum of 1 year of verifiable forklift operating experience. Valid forklift certification is required. Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and best practices in logistics. Must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic.
