We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring efficient operations and minimizing discrepancies. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, from receiving and put-away to cycle counting and discrepancy resolution. Your attention to detail will directly impact our ability to fulfill orders accurately and maintain optimal stock levels. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of warehouse safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report any potential shortages or overages.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely when required.
- Train new team members on inventory control processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in WMS software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **lifting** up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with **PPE** and warehouse **safety** protocols.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of **logistics** and supply chain principles.
