Join our dynamic team in Miami, Florida, as a Shipping Clerk! This essential role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of outgoing shipments. You will manage all aspects of shipping documentation, coordinate with carriers, and ensure that packages are prepared correctly for their destination. A thorough understanding of logistics procedures is beneficial. We are committed to a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. While primarily an administrative role, some physical tasks may be involved, including occasional lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers.
- Inspect outgoing packages to ensure they meet shipping requirements.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Assist with receiving and organizing incoming shipments as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Support the overall logistics function of the warehouse.
- Perform tasks that may involve light lifting, up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus. Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics or administrative role. Proficient with shipping software and common office applications. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of shipping processes and documentation. Awareness of safety regulations and the importance of PPE. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
