We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Portland, Oregon. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. Your responsibilities will include managing staff, optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory integrity, and ensuring the smooth execution of our logistics processes. A critical aspect of this role is fostering a culture of safety, ensuring all team members understand and comply with safety regulations and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and the capacity to manage teams involved in physically demanding tasks, including regular lifting. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and control.
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, maintaining quality standards.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse team members.
- Enforce all safety rules and regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and PPE.
- Manage workflow and delegate tasks effectively to meet operational goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on warehouse performance.
- Address and resolve operational issues and employee concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all logistics and company policies.
- Oversee tasks that involve significant lifting and physical labor, up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred. Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage a team and drive performance. Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS). Understanding of OSHA regulations and a commitment to workplace safety, including the correct use of PPE. Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions. Physical ability to perform tasks that require frequent lifting and standing.
