We are seeking a skilled Shipping & Receiving Associate for our busy warehouse in Boise, Idaho. This integral role involves managing the flow of goods into and out of our facility. You will be responsible for accurately documenting, organizing, and preparing shipments, as well as receiving and inspecting incoming deliveries. A strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations is beneficial. We prioritize workplace safety and expect all employees to strictly follow safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires physical dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various types of merchandise. You will be involved in tasks that include lifting and moving goods, so physical capability is essential. Join our dedicated team and contribute to the seamless operation of our warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and staging orders.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure all shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with tasks involving lifting and moving materials, up to 50 lbs.
- Coordinate with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain efficiency.
- Follow all procedures to ensure the integrity of inbound and outbound goods.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations is highly desirable. Proficiency with basic computer skills and inventory management software is a plus. Ability to operate warehouse machinery safely. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to perform duties that require significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting and standing. Understanding of safety protocols and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
