Join our esteemed logistics company as a Receiving Clerk in our Seattle, Washington facility. This critical role ensures the accurate and timely processing of all incoming goods, forming the foundation of our efficient warehouse operations. You will be responsible for inspecting shipments, verifying quantities against documentation, and properly logging all received items into our inventory system. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are paramount. We prioritize safety and provide comprehensive training, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label all received items appropriately for storage and tracking.
- Identify and report any shortages, damages, or incorrect items to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, if certified.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through diligent receiving processes.
- Collaborate with other warehouse departments to ensure seamless workflow.
This role requires the ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Previous experience in receiving or inventory management within a logistics environment is highly desirable.
