In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all shipments are received accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying packing slips against received items, inspecting for damages, and accurately logging all incoming inventory into our system. This position is critical for maintaining the integrity of our logistics operations and ensuring that our warehouse is stocked appropriately. We are committed to a safe working environment, and all Receiving Clerks must adhere to strict Safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong data entry skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and good communication skills are also important. - Unloading incoming shipments from trucks and containers.
- Verifying packing slips and purchase orders against received merchandise.
- Inspecting goods for damage and discrepancies.
- Accurately entering receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tagging and routing received items to the appropriate storage locations.
- Maintaining a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhering to all Safety guidelines and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting and material handling.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory receiving processes.
- Coordinating with vendors and internal departments regarding shipments.
