Join our expanding logistics operations in Dallas, Texas, as an Inventory Control Specialist! We are looking for a highly detail-oriented individual to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This role is critical to ensuring that we have the right stock, in the right place, at the right time. You will be responsible for performing cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, managing stock rotation, and implementing best practices in inventory control. Strong analytical skills and proficiency with inventory management software are essential. Collaboration with our warehouse and shipping teams will be key to optimizing stock flow and minimizing errors. Safety is paramount, and adherence to all established procedures, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is required. Key Responsibilities include:
- Performing regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigating root causes of inventory discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- Updating and maintaining inventory records within the WMS.
- Developing and executing strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Monitoring stock levels and communicating with procurement and operations regarding replenishment needs.
- Assisting with receiving, put-away, and order picking processes to ensure accuracy.
- Ensuring proper storage and handling of all inventory items, considering weight and lifting requirements.
- Contributing to process improvements in warehouse logistics and inventory management.
- Reporting on inventory metrics and trends to management.
