Join our thriving **Logistics** team in Huntsville, Alabama, as a certified Forklift Operator! We are looking for skilled and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining efficient warehouse operations, ensuring materials are moved safely and accurately. You will play a key part in our receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping processes, contributing directly to the flow of goods. Your professionalism and adherence to **Safety** protocols will be paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with efficiency and precision.
- Stack and retrieve materials from various heights and locations within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or **Safety** concerns immediately to supervision.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and production activities.
- Adhere to all **Safety** guidelines and **PPE** requirements.
- Perform necessary **Lifting** and manual tasks when not operating a forklift.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth **Logistics** operations.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Proven **Safety** record. Ability to perform **Lifting** of up to 50 lbs. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and **Logistics** flow. Knowledge of **PPE** requirements and safe operating procedures for powered industrial trucks. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) is a plus.
