We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Order Picker will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is crucial to our daily operations and requires a high level of accuracy and speed. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all products are picked according to specific order requirements. Your attention to detail will directly impact customer satisfaction and inventory accuracy. Responsibilities include navigating the warehouse using a scanner, identifying correct items and quantities, and preparing them for the packing station. Proper handling of products to prevent damage is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a handheld scanner or pick list.
- Locate and retrieve products from designated shelf locations.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details.
- Operate pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment safely.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to inventory immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and item descriptions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
