We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of goods in and out of our facility. You will be responsible for handling all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about logistics and eager to contribute to a fast-paced warehouse setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, good physical stamina, and a commitment to safety protocols. You'll work closely with team members and management to streamline processes and meet operational goals. We value a proactive approach and encourage individuals who can identify areas for improvement within the shipping and receiving functions. This position involves significant interaction with carriers and internal departments, requiring clear communication and coordination. Join us and become a vital part of our supply chain success. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, verifying packing slips against received goods, inspecting items for damage, properly stocking incoming inventory, picking and preparing orders for shipment, staging outgoing freight, operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely, maintaining cleanliness and organization in all work areas, and adhering to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs and requires a strong understanding of Logistics principles. Emphasis on Safety is paramount.
