Job Summary:
We are seeking a proficient Material Handler to join our busy logistics hub in Seattle, Washington. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse, ensuring that inventory is received, stored, and dispatched accurately and safely. As a Material Handler, you will operate forklifts and other equipment to transport materials, manage stock rotation, and contribute to the overall organization of our facility. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, load, unload, and store materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against documentation.
  • Sort, stage, and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
  • Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments according to order requirements.
  • Conduct daily pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safe and optimal performance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all logistics and company standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stock organization.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations and meet productivity goals.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator is required, with relevant certification.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and adhering to all PPE requirements.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
