Join our growing logistics team in Portland, Oregon, as a Warehouse Coordinator! This dynamic role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various warehouse activities to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy. You will manage inventory, coordinate shipments, supervise warehouse staff, and ensure compliance with all safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of warehouse management and logistics principles. You'll be instrumental in maintaining smooth operations and fostering a productive work environment. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement. Safety is paramount; therefore, a strict adherence to all safety regulations and the correct use of PPE is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments.
- Supervise and provide guidance to warehouse associates.
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in training new employees on warehouse procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
- This role may involve assisting with tasks requiring lifting up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or supervision.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- Commitment to safety and a strong understanding of PPE requirements.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
