We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. Your attention to detail and understanding of logistics processes will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and stage goods.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the warehouse.
- Inspect equipment before use and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, ensuring aisles and exits are clear.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper Lifting techniques.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
- Package and prepare materials for shipment or further processing.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes, gloves, and vests, as required.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating various types of forklifts and pallet jacks is essential.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 lbs, on a regular basis.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
