Are you an experienced and certified Forklift Operator looking for a challenging role in Colorado Springs, Colorado? We are seeking a skilled individual to manage the movement of materials within our state-of-the-art distribution center. Your expertise in operating forklifts safely and efficiently will be crucial to our daily operations and overall logistics success. This position requires precision, a keen eye for safety, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Safely transport goods from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Inspect forklifts before and after each shift, reporting any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and operating procedures, including those related to Lifting heavy loads.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, ensuring accurate placement and accessibility.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories as directed.
- Ensure that all designated areas are kept clean, orderly, and free from obstruction.
- Load and unload trailers efficiently and safely.
- Utilize appropriate PPE, such as hard hats and safety shoes, in designated areas.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and operational excellence within the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe forklift operation and material handling techniques.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and others.
